Civilian Conservation Corps

In one of our Nation’s most difficult periods, a group of men whose numbers ranked over three million left their homes and began an adventure across our great land. They were poor, mostly uneducated and many were hungry. Yet, what they didn’t lack was a capacity for hard work. These men re-shaped the landscape of our country. By planting nearly three billion trees, reducing a growing soil erosion problem and building structures in our state and national parks, they would allow Americans to enjoy our country’s natural resources for generations to come. They were the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CCC Legacy Bandana benefits the National CCC Worker Statue Program - honoring those who served in the CCC.  Visit CCCLegacy.org for more information.
